Goode Walks corporate offerings covered
Having previously edited the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce newsletter for more than three years, it was a pleasant change to be covered in it, with a feature on Goode Walks in the June edition.
Under the headline “Julian Goode helps everyone enjoy the great outdoors”, the article explained that Goode Walks has recently joined Brentwood Chamber of Commerce as a new member, having launched in spring 2022.
It continued: “Re-joining Chamber three years after being diagnosed with leukaemia, Julian explained: ‘It was while I was undergoing treatment in Barts Hospital during 2019 that I came up with the idea of a complete career change, and starting up as a walk leader.
“My mission for Goode Walks is to help everyone I possibly can to enjoy the great outdoors – leading guided tailored walks for individuals and groups of all kinds in the local Countryside,” he said.
“Julian, who previously worked as a journalist and in digital media for more than 30 years, is now a Mountain Training qualified Lowland Leader.
“While Goode Walks organises guided walks for anyone wanting to get outside, a key offering is for businesses looking for bespoke team bonding or away day experiences for their employees.
“And as sponsor of this summer’s Chamber NetWalking events, Goode Walks is also well positioned to arrange company NetWalking days for clients or suppliers – giving everyone the chance to network in a relaxed outdoors environment.
“Being outdoors is good for everyone’s physical and mental wellbeing, and means staff can engage with each other without the inhibitions or distractions of the everyday working environment,” said Julian.
“You can grow your business by inviting potential new clients to a bespoke NetWalking event for your company, and boost supplier relationships too, as participants bond while they exercise.
“Later in 2022, Julian is taking on a 500-mile sponsored walk – ‘A Really Goode Walk’ – to fundraise for Barts Charity and Anthony Nolan, with a six-week trek coast-to-coast across all four countries of the UK in October and November.”
