Delighted to be out NetWalking

As a former member of Brentwood Chamber of Commerce’s executive committee, I was a keen attendee of their NetWalking events – both because I obviously love walking, but also because of their sociability.

Joining the Chamber several years back having started my first self-employed business, going out on summer NetWalking gave me a chance to meet some fellow members and start to get known in the Brentwood business community.

So having launched Goode Walks this spring, I’m delighted to be given the chance to get involved with summer 2022’s NetWalking as the sponsor of the four planned events.

I’ll be leading the series of evening walks with Chamber chairman Colin Barber, and look forward to meeting all the attendees… with some familiar faces among them I’m sure.

For those that aren’t familiar, NetWalking is a different concept to the sometimes daunting traditional room-based networking, combining a relaxed walk in the countryside with a chance to chat with lots of different people.

The programme kicks off on May 24, with a walk starting from The Greyhound in Childerditch, south of Brentwood. Each walk usually lasts around 90 minutes, and ends up back at the pub starting point.

So in June we’ll be walking from The Green Man in Herongate on the last Tuesday of the month (28^th), and in July it’s off to Mill Green to The Cricketers on Tuesday 19; and finally on Tuesday August 30 we’ll be meeting up at The White Horse in Coxtie Green for the final walk of the summer.

All are welcome – Chamber members and non-members alike. You just need to register via the Chamber website so we know how many people to expect on the evening.
